Graduate Software Engineer

Skyships Automotive Limited is a dynamic automotive technology company and tier 1 supplier to high performance automotive OEMs and ground-breaking new mobility companies. Skyships' products have powered several models from Aston Martin, Pagani, Karma and other similar brands. We design, develop, manufacture, validate, write software, generate HMIs, and manage the integration of driver information systems, cockpit controllers, and connected vehicle platforms.

We are looking for a graduate software engineer to join the software development/operations team and help contribute to the custom software stack that we have developed over the last decade. The candidate will get guidance and mentoring from the wider team and help write code that powers all our products on the road and at sea. The candidate will get to work with a nimble group of engineers and the most exclusive automotive products in the world.

Responsibilities:
Working with the software team to develop software for automotive infotainment and cockpit control systems
Working with the graphics team to bring the user interface to life through code
Working on telematics and application engineering to communicate with different modules in the vehicle through CAN communication
Documentation of current and new software blocks
Unit testing and functional testing
Reviewing software and analysing how it can be improved
Work at customer locations with engineering/test vehicles

Requirements:
Proficiency in C++, Embedded C, Linux/QNX/Android systems
Knowledge or keen interest in Rightware Kanzi, Lua programming, automotive networking (CAN, Ethernet, A2B, BroadR-Reach, etc.)
Comfortable with working on hardware when necessary
Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills
Ability to prioritize and multitask
Being curious
Good time-management

Candidate will have a UK or European driving licence


Programme Manager

We are seeking a Programme Manager who can understand requirements, convert them to tasks for the respective teams and manage the timing and priorities of the project delivery working alongside the heads of software and hardware teams. Our managers get to work with a diverse and nimble development team, a supportive leadership team and some of the most exclusive vehicles filled with exciting technology.

The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented team player will handle all the resources and coordination from a technical standpoint. You must set and achieve objectives, ensure both top quality and control of the project, handle client and vendor interaction, and act as the subject expert.

Responsibilities

• Help control the entire project life cycle
• Create and manage timing plans and ensure they are followed
• Track progress and milestones and maintain a slick Jira board
• Organise and lead team meetings
• Develop best practices working with project leads and senior leadership team


Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience (engineering fields preferred)
• Excellent leadership and communication skills
• Fluency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
• Familiar with Scrum methodologies
