The Globe
Skyships
developed the globe for the home planet zone at the millennium
dome.
The
icon had a 12 metre diameter,
and was printed in full colour with satellite imagery from
NASA.
The fabric envelope was supported on a carbon fibre mast,
that rotated the globe in real time. At
night, the globe was internally lit.
